Pennies for Peace is here at Budlong this year!
This year, the 6th grade students read Three Cups of Tea and learned about the state of education in Afghanistan and Pakistan. They shared this story with the rest of the school and led the school in a penny drive to raise money to help build schools overseas We raised $1,800 and were featured on ABC7. Click here to see the news clip.
I encourage everyone to read this great book to help spread the word about the importance of education for all children.
