February 19, 2010 - Letters of acceptance or non-acceptance are mailed to the students.
March 5, 2010 - Deadline to notify selective enrollment schools in writing that student will attend.
March 19, 2010 - Deadline to notify all high schools in writing that student will attend.
April 23, 2010 - Students who have not chosen a high school will automatically be enrolled in their neighborhood high school.

Attention 8th Graders! It's not too early to start thinking about college and scholarships. If you are serious about going to college, but you may not be able to afford it, check out this list of scholarships available to minorities. Minorities is a broad category, so you may be surprised at how many scholarships you may qualify for. It's a good idea to familiarize yourself with these programs so that when the time comes to apply for colleges, you will know that you can qualify for certain scholarships.
