Program Overview

The Budlong Bilingual Program provides English as a second language support with an extensive focus on developing word knowledge, fluency, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing.  The Budlong Bilingual Program also provides the knowledge and understanding of skills necessary to interact and challenge to meet the expectations of a global society.  Students are encouraged to appreciate their cultural background as well as others.

Reminder for all Classroom Teachers

· All the bilingual colored folders should be updated and all the documents included inside.

· All the bilingual students will take the ISAT with certain accomodations.

· The ISAT test correlates to the objectives and measure academic standards.

· ACCESS Test will be given to all bilingual students even the students whose parents refused to be in the bilingual program and completed the SSR form. One copy of the results should be filed in their bilingual folder and one should be sent home to the parents

· Students will exit the bilingual program when the student scores 4.0 in the ACCESS Test, even if the parents signed the SSR form to exit the program.

· All the bilingual documents should be kept in the blue folders and filed in the colored folder for any auditing.
