Our class is learning…
In Math this month,
students will have mastered how to compare and order whole numbers and
decimals. Students will plan a Thanksgiving menu, using skills and concepts
learned from ordering and rounding decimals. Students will also use fractions
to describe fractional parts of regions and sets, and to represent division.
Our class will complete the “piece of pie” Thanksgiving activity as a fun group
project. Students will also learn how to write equivalent fractions and express
fractions in lowest terms.
Important math vocabulary:
decimal, greater than, less than, fraction, numerator, denominator, equivalent
fraction, least common denominator, and greatest common factor.
