This year had really flown by. I has been a true pleasure teaching your children this year. I have watched them grow, learn, become independent and ready to move on to kindergarten. I would like to thank you for entrusting your children with me and being a partnership in the education process of your wonderful children.

Have a FANTASTIC summer and remember:

 

We will be taking a field trip to Emily Oaks Nature Center. The AM class will be going on the 1st (8:30-12:30) the PM class will be going on the 2nd (8:30-12:30).  Please remember to pack your child with a brown bag lunch.

This year we will be working with your child on building Social-Emotional Goals. We will be helping your child

·        develop a good feeling about school and learning

·        develop a strong self-esteem

·        learn to compromise, share, and accept rules

·        develop a sense of responsibility and respect toward self and others

·        develop a sense of responsibility and respect toward materials and belongings of self and others

·        develop independent thinking and self-reliance

 

This year we will also be working with your child on building Educational Goals. We will be helping your child to:

·        follow directions

·        follow a project or activity through to completion

·        participate in discussions

·        practice the fine motor skills required for using crayons, pencils, and scissors

·        recognize own name and some other letters

·        identify and name basic colors, shapes, and numbers 1-10

·        practice gross motor skills
