| News from the neighborhood | Most of the children are doing very well. We will be working the skills on the sheet that was passed out on Report Card Day. We will be working on writing more stories and reading more of the Swirl books (some have come home.) These are the ones with Mat the Rat and Sam the Lion. Newar will be leaving us for the month of May for a family trip. We look forward to his safe return. | |

| Thinking thinking thinking thinking | Please think of coming to help in the room. There is still a great need for your help. Please let me know ahead of time so I can have work ready for you. We will be working on the ocean and it's animals. We killed off the dinosaurs several times. Than when we finished the reptiles they felt they should kill them off, too. I had to explain that they are very much alive. It wouldn't be right to kill them all now. | |

Counting to 100 or more. Identifying all the alphabet letters and their sounds. Recognizing rhyming words. Recognizing numbers 0 to 100. Identifying penny, nickel, dime, quarter, and their values. will practice telling time to the hour and to the half hour. And practice vowels and consonants. |
